Problem Statement

Despite the rise of centralized exchanges (CEXs) and decentralized exchanges (DEXs), OTC trading remains a critical avenue for high-volume and private asset transactions. However, current OTC systems face several challenges:

  1. Lack of Trust: Most OTC trades happen via peer-to-peer arrangements on platforms like Telegram or WhatsApp. These methods are vulnerable to fraud, scams, and payment disputes.

  2. Lack of Automation: Human negotiation and manual processes lead to inefficiencies, slippage, and delays.

  3. Limited Discovery: Finding suitable counterparties is slow and relies heavily on manual vetting or reputation.

  4. No Transparency or History: Existing OTC desks lack reputation systems, trade history, or verification mechanisms.

  5. Market Fragmentation: Liquidity is scattered across multiple informal groups and broker networks.
